If there’s one thing we love, it’s robots fighting each other. Unless they are in a Michael Bay movie. Thankfully, Shawn Levy (Night at the Museum, Date Night) is a little classier than that, and the forthcoming Real Steel has us intrigued. Disney has just released a featurette for the film, chatting with the cast and crew on the experience of making robots punch each other.
A gritty, white-knuckle, action ride set in the near-future, where the sport of boxing has gone hi-tech, Real Steel stars Hugh Jackman as Charlie Kenton, a washed-up fighter who lost his chance at a title when 2000-pound, 8-foot-tall steel robots took over the ring.
Real Steel is produced by DreamWorks and is released on 6 October 2011 in Australia by Disney.
