Empire reports that Jason Bateman, in the UK promoting his latest film The Change-Up, has revealed that the long-rumoured Arrested Development film could start shooting as early as next year.
When the interview rolled around to the inevitable question about the follow-up to the cult-favourite TV show that ran from 2003 to 2006, he responded:
Things are progressing along very, very well. Things are still definitely on course for the film to be shot. My guess would be that we will shoot it in the middle of next year.
No details were given, and Bateman expressed his own frustration around not being able to offer more information.
