We’ve see them parody rom-coms, Green Lantern and even The Hangover: Part II, but perhaps none of us saw this parody of David Fincher’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo trailer coming.
The Pig with the Froggy Tattoo is not quite as good as the earlier trailers, but it maintains The Muppet spirit of anarchy and gets us even more excited for the imminent return of the greatest comedians to ever grace screens of any size. Not to marketing people around the world: this is how you advertise an upcoming release.
When Walter, the world’s biggest Muppet fan, and friends Gary (Jason Segel) and Mary (Amy Adams) discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to raze the Muppet Theater, they help Kermit reunite the Muppets to stage The Greatest Muppet Telethon Ever and raise the $10 million needed to save the theater.
The Muppets will be released on 5 January 2012 in Australia from Disney.
