Willem Dafoe is currently doing the promotional rounds in Australia on the back of The Hunter, covered wonderfully by our good friends and League colleagues at Spotlight Report, and he was originally scheduled to appear in Sydney tonight at a preview screening of Daniel Nettheim’s film. Palace Cinemas have regrettably announced that he will now be unable to attend.
In an email to ticket holders today, they stated:
Due to industrial action at Qantas today, Willem Dafoe has been delayed interstate and will not be able to introduce THE HUNTER at 6pm, at Palace Verona this evening as advertised.
Although this news is extremely disappointing, we have planned a special introductory Q&A with esteemed author of The Hunter, Julia Leigh, Screen Writer Alice Addison and Executive Producer Anita Sheehan prior to the screening.
Members will still each receive the gift bag as advertised, courtesy of Madman.
We apologise wholeheartedly for the inconvenience caused and look forward to seeing you.
The Hunter is released in Australian on 6 October 2011 from Madman.
