With The Avengers trailer due to hit the Interwebs tomorrow, but Hollywood hotspot ET has already got some advanced footage. It has gone online thanks to LesToilesHeroiques.
Continuing the epic big-screen adventures started in Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger, Marvel’s The Avengers is the superhero team up of a lifetime. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, Director of the international peacekeeping agency known as SHIELD, finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins.
Will this make the same mistakes in showing too much of a good thing, much the same way that the X-Men: First Class trailers did in showing us the big showstopper before we even walked into the cinema? Or will it show us absolutely nothing at all, and be a big tease for next year’s event film to end all event films? Guess we will find out tomorrow.
It’s early days yet, and we are unlikely to see much more than the teaser promos, character shots and official photos have revealed to date. However, like any new bit of official information, there will undoubtedly be a frenzy of downloads and comments on whatever it is we do get to see next week.
The Avengers will be released in Australia in April 2012 by Disney.
