Star Trek poster (2009)Access Hollywood has interviewed actress Zoe Saldana, most recently seen in Columbiana, and has revealed two nuggets of information: the film will start shooting in January and it doesn’t have a title as yet.

Saldana adds: “We still haven’t gotten a script yet…We’re very excited to read it and get back into space.”

The Star Trek films haven’t been numbered since Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, with Star Trek: Generations being followed by Star Trek: First Contact, Star Trek: Insurrection and Star Trek: Nemesis. Technically, this would be Star Trek XII: So Very Tired after all.

Back in September, we reported that J.J. Abrams was officially back on board for the untitled sequel to 2009’s Star Trek, ending speculation as to whether he would be taking a producer role or would be getting his hands dirty in the twenty-third century again.

The film was also put on hold due to original writer Robert Kurtzman, who wrote the first script with Robert Orci, working on his directorial debut Welcome to People.
