Disney has released the official trailer for the Beauty and the Beast 3D reissue. Attached to the trailer is a short preview for Tangled Ever After, the short sequel to Tangled that will play with the film.
Belle is a bright and beautiful young woman who’s taken prisoner by a hideous beast in his castle. Despite her precarious situation, Belle befriends the castle’s enchanted staff — a teapot, a candelabra and a mantel clock, among others — and ultimately learns to see beneath the Beast’s exterior to discover the heart and soul of a prince.
With the success of The Lion King 3D came the announcement that a number of Disney/Pixar classics would be re-released to cinemas in 3D. The first of these, Beauty and the Beast, is hitting US cinemas on January 13 and Disney (viaYahoo! Movies) has just released the poster for that issue.
Beauty and the Beast, as Australian viewers will know, was already released in 3D for a limited engagement last year, just prior to the Blu-ray release of that film, which we reviewed at the time. With cinemas around the world loving the ability to charge extra for seats to 3D films, we can definitely expect to see more re-issues over the coming years.
Beauty and the Beast 3D is released on 13 January 2011 in the US from Disney.
Any word on a wider Aus release? From memory it was limited to Hoyts which we don’t have in Tasmania.
