There is no stopping the Awards season now, with announcements for the Gotham Awards and the nominees for the 2012 Film Independent Spirit Awards announced in the last 24 hours. Now we can add the winners of the prestigious New York Film Critics Circle awards to the list.

It also looks as though starring in every film of 2011 has paid off for Jessica Chastain, who was recognised as Best Supporting Actress for her roles in The Tree of Life, The Help and Take Shelter. It was also pleasing to see Albert Brooks recognised for his role in Drive.
