If you blinked, you would have missed the bootlegged trailer of Fox’s Prometheus in the last few weeks, but Fox (via ComingSoon and Collider) has now released five hi-res images from Ridley Scott’s upcoming sci-fi film.
Details around the film have been scarced, but we know that it will star Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Sean Harris, Kate Dickie, Logan Marshall-Green and Patrick Wilson.
Only a few weeks ago, Scott commented that “The last eight minutes of the “Prometheus” story evolve into “a pretty good DNA of the ‘Alien’ one.”
From these images, there is some very definite Alien DNA in there. The shot withe the monolithic figure doesn’t half look like the first encounter with the alien eggs in the 1979 original, does it?
Prometheus opens in 3D on 8 June 2012 from Fox.
