Last night in Sydney, actor Simon Pegg (The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn) and director Brad Bird (The Incredibles) introduced their latest film, Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol to an audience of fans at the IMAX cinema at Darling Harbour. Paramount has sent through photos from the night, and we have presented a selection of them below.
We managed to speak to Mr. Pegg and Mr. Bird earlier in the day, and we will have the audio of those interviews up online by the end of the day. It was a wonderful experience to chat with two people we have admired for years, and had a wealth of information to share.
Blamed for the terrorist bombing of the Kremlin, IMF operative Ethan Hunt is disavowed along with the rest of the agency when the President initiates “Ghost Protocol”. Left without any resources or backup, Ethan must find a way to clear his agency’s name and prevent another attack. To complicate matters further, Ethan is forced to embark on this mission with a team of fellow IMF fugitives whose personal motives he does not fully know.

Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol is due for release in Australia on 15 December 2011 from Paramount. It will be released in IMAX in the US on 16 December, with a wide US release on 21 December 2011.
