Collider (via JimSturgessOnline) has posted a trailer for Juan Diego Solanas’ new film, Upside Down, a sci-fi film set in a place where two worlds, one with inverted gravity, intersect. It will star Jim Sturgess and Kirsten Dunst.
The official synopsis is: Adam is a seemingly ordinary guy in a very extraordinary universe. He lives humbly trying to make ends meet, but his romantic spirit holds on to the memory of a girl he met once upon a time from another world, an inverted affluent world with its own gravity, directly above but beyond reach… a girl named Eve. Their childhood flirtation becomes an impossible love. But when he catches a glimpse of grownup Eve on television, nothing will get in the way of getting her back. Not even the law or science!
Director Solanas, incidentally, is the son of renowned Argentinian director Fernando E. Solanas. The film itself looks intriguing, as we are always keen to see new takes on classic sci-fi motifs. The analogy for border patrol seems obvious in the trailing, but if nothing else the photography is set to be amazing.
The film is yet to receive a release date in either the US or Australia.
