Rian Johnson, the director of Brick and The Brothers Bloom, has a new film out this year, and like his previous work it will tackle crime in a slightly different fashion. Looper deals with a killer (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) for the mob of the future, who recognises a target as his future self (Bruce Willis), the director has revealed a first look at the time machine that will make all of this possible via the film’s official Tumblr account.
The film also stars Emily Blunt, Piper Perabo, Paul Dano and Jeff Daniels.
Looper is released in the US and UK on 28 September 2012. It does not currently have an Australian release date.
