Martin Scorsese‘s Hugo hits Australian cinemas this week, already buoyed by a wave of awards and recognition, including our own review which described it as a “gorgeously shot tale that slowly pulls you in to deliver its love letter to cinema”.
Paramount has sent over two official Australia clips from the film, featuring Asa Butterfield and Chloë Grace Moretz, the first of which showcases the beautiful cinematography in the film, and the second one of the more magical scenes of discovery. Be warned though: if you know your cinema history, the second one contains a few more obvious spoilers. Or is our telling you that a spoiler as well? It’s hard to tell these days, so watch the second clip at your own peril, or better yet, go and see the film when it opens this week and come back and watch the clips again here.
Hugo is released in Australia on 12 January 2012 from Paramount.
