LucasFilm has released a new trailer for the 3D re-release of Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace, due out in cinemas next week. This time the focus is on making Star Wars accessible for kids. If we are honest with ourselves, this was the intended audience all along, especially for the first chapter in the prequels, and most of us were probably still in short pants when we saw the original films in theatres.
It also gives younger audiences, probably only familiar with the series from the animated Clone Wars, an idea of what they are getting themselves into if they aren’t old enough to have seen these all before. Lucky bastards! Run! Run while you still can! This was lies Jar Jar! We’ll find you a copy of A New Hope (or as us old folk know it, Star Wars) and get you started right.
Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace 3D is released on 9 February 2012 in Australia from Fox.
