Walt Disney Pictures (via ComingSoon.Net) has released the new poster for Marvel’s The Avengers, finally showcasing all seven Avengers in one place. Of course, the team seems as though they haven’t fully assembled yet, as none of them wants to look at each other. The poster below that is from the UK, with identical art and a possible alternative title of Avengers Assemble, although this could simply be a tagline.
In both cases, it could be titled Robert Downey Jr. and the Avengers. Could they get the Cap any further back in the poster? After all, director/writer Joss Whedon has already revealed that Captain America will be the focus of the new film.
Starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Samuel L. Jackson, and directed by Joss Whedon, Marvel’s The Avengers is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series The Avengers, first published in 1963.
The Avengers is released in Australia on 25 April 2012 from Disney. It will be released in the US a week later on 4 May 2012.
