By the beard of Zeus! Will Ferrell, in character as Ron Burgundy stopped by the late night show Conan to not only play some jazz flute and insult host Conan O’Brien, but tell the Americas (and the rest of the world) that there will be a sequel to 2004’s Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy from Paramount.
The first film, directed by Adam McKay, has become a cult classic over the last decade and certainly helped co-stars Paul Rudd and Steve Carell along on their way.
Commenting via Twitter, O’Brien remarked “After his shocking statement, Ron Burgundy proves once again he is the master of the jazz flute”.
McKay and the supporting cast are said to be returning for this second outing, third if you count Wake Up, Ron Burgundy, the direct-to-DVD “sequel” made out of outtakes from the original film.
We love lamp.
