deadside, made by Sydney-based production company Sl8it, has released a brand new supernatural television series. Don’t look for it on channel guide, it’s available via BitTorrent: completely free and legal! Just like last year’s The Tunnel, deadside allows viewers to download the show for free, and give viewers the option to contribute funds as they see fit via Vodo.
Set in Sydney, it revolves around a young British girl named Sara who’s life is thrown into turmoil when a mysterious man named Boli Shah starts pursuing her. She is eventually drawn into a mysterious world of Voodoo, ancient oriental mysticism, martial arts and the Yakuza gangster underworl She is the reincarnation of an ancient warrior known as Ogunte, who must stop Baron Samedi, guardian of the dead from crossing his armies over from deadside into the world of the living.
Director David Di Muro describes the film as “a high concept supernatural show with drama, action and martial arts”.
