It’s only a few months now until The Dark Knight Rises concludes Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy, and a new poster has debuted via the film’s Facebook page. Update: A hi-res version has been added thanks to IMPAwards, and an international poster thanks to Roadshow Films.
Taking elements from the first teaser poster, released almost a year ago, the latest one-sheet literally sets the city on fire, with a sad or possibly sleepy Batman (Christian Bale) standing in front of the chaos, seemingly oblivious or resigned to the destruction going on right behind him. Ah, Photoshop! It may not be the poster we wanted, but it was the poster we needed to get us excited once again about dark superheroes in a post-Avengers world.
The Dark Knight Rises is released on 19 July 2012 in Australia from Roadshow.
