After trying out some American indie with The We and The I, French artist and filmmaker Michel Gondry has elected to go back to exploring our dreamscapes in Mood Indigo.
La Monde has revealed a dozen new images from the film, which naturally includes a tank with legs and a drivable cloud. According to The Playlist, the film “is based on Boris Vian’s 1947 novel, “L’Ecume des jours,” and tells the tale of Colin (Romain Duris), the wealthy inventor of an olfactory musical instrument, the pianocktail. He marries Chloe (Audrey Tautou), but unfortunately, she falls ill during their honeymoon thanks to a water lily that enters her lung, and the only way to treat the ailment is to surround her with fresh flowers — an expense that soon drains his funds.
The film also stars Omar Sy, Gad Elmaleh, Charlotte Lebon, Alain Chabat, Aissa Maiga, Philipe Torrenton and Natacha Regnier.
