The second full day of San Diego Comic-Con 2012 came to a close, and it couldn’t have been a more exciting day for those anxious to find out more about the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Opening with a sizzle reel, Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige declared that “Phase Two Begins Now”.
A whole mess of stuff came out of the Iron Man 3 panel today, and the major announcements have already been covered elsewhere on the site.
- Thor 2 is officially titled Thor: The Dark World
- Captain America 2 is officially Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which hints at the return of Bucky
- Ben Kingsley is confirmed as the Mandarin in Iron Man 3, appearing in footage in full costume
- Shane Black on Iron Man 3: “We’re halfway through. If we don’t fuck up the rest, it’ll be great.”
- Iron Man’s new armour has been revealed
- Guardians of the Galaxy confirmed for August 2014!
- Guardians of the Galaxy concept art shown. Line-up revealed as Star-Lord, Draxx the Destroyer, Groot and Rocket Raccoon, Gamorra
- Ant-Man confirmed for a release. Test footage show by Edgar Wright. No actor revealed.
