It may not be the first time the characters have turned up on the Disney Channel, but those of you who fondly watch the Star Wars Holiday Special will love the appearance of everyone’s favourite bumbling duo on A.N.T. Farm, the Disney Channel’s tween-oriented musical sitcom.
With half the school out sick, Principal Skidmore sends the A.N.T.s on an educational scavenger hunt around San Francisco, where Chyna and Lexi lead two teams onto Skywalker Ranch to get George Lucas’ autograph. Chaos ensues and the gang winds up meeting R2D2 and C3PO.
Following Disney’s acquisition of Lucasfilm for a reported $4.05 billion last week, we can expect lots more of these crossovers. We’re fine with it, as long as we can see the Duncans lost on Endor in Good Luck, Charlie or Austin & Ally taking on the roles of Luke and Leia at some stage in the future.
