Disney continues its streak of remaking its own animated fare into live action productions with BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, due out in cinemas in March 2017. Following in the footsteps of Alice in Wonderland, Maleficent and The Jungle Book, the Bill Condon directed film casts Emma Watson, Luke Evans, Ewan McGregor, Dan Stevens and more in the re-imagining of their own 1991 animated film.
The trailer shows us very little of the film, instead teasing fans with new readings of classic moments from the animated classic, before revealing Emma Watson as Belle and the iconic rose for the first time. We also here a few phrases from the memorable award-winning Howard Ashman and Alan Menken soundtrack as well.
Disney are on a hot streak right now with these remakes, and the successful formula has brought them in around $3.7 billion worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo. Given the star power and the legacy of the film, there is no doubt this will also be a success.
