The first trailer for Tom Ford’s NOCTURNAL ANIMALS has been released in all of its stunning glory. Winner of the Grand Jury Prize at the 73rd Venice International Film Festival last week, it’s scheduled to be released in limited US theatres on 18 November 2016 from Focus Features, and then wider on 6 December.
Described as “a haunting romantic thriller of shocking intimacy and gripping tension that explores the thin lines between love and cruelty, and revenge and redemption,” the film stars Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal star as a divorced couple discovering dark truths about each other. It is Ford’s first film since his award-winning A Single Man in 2009.
The stunningly shot trailer, from cinematographer Seamus McGarvey (Atonement, The Accountant), has a dark and sinister Lynchian vibe to it, is below. The film also stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Michael Shannon, Isla Fisher, Armie Hammer, and Laura Linney. NOCTURNAL ANIMALS looks so good, we might have to go to the US in November just to see it.
