Australian director Cate Shortland’s films have always been something to get excited about, with Somersault and Lore widely acclaimed over the last decade. Her latest film, BERLIN SYNDROME, had its world premiere at Sundance this year, and now eOne has released a new trailer ahead of its Australian theatrical release on 20 April 2017.
Based on the novel of the same name by Melanie Joosten, it follows Clare (Teresa Palmer), an Aussie photographer who travels to Berlin and meets a charismatic local named Andi (Max Riemelt). Their attraction is instant, and after a day wandering the streets of Berlin together, a night of passion ensues. Yet she soon comes to realise that he has no intention of letting her leave the apartment.
