Marvel Studios is having a big day of announcements. Firstly, it has confirmed that directing duo Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck (Mississippi Grind) will helm CAPTAIN MARVEL for the studio. It also debuted the first trailer for the upcoming series CLOAK & DAGGER.
For CAPTAIN MARVEL, the story of Carol Danvers will be written by Meg LeFauve and Nicole Perlman. Boden and Fleck have previously worked together on Sugar, It’s Kind of a Funny Story and Half Nelson. The film will make its cinematic debut in November 2018 in the US.
With MARVEL’S CLOAK & DAGGER, due to hit Freeform in the US next year, Tandy Bowen (Olivia Holt) and Tyrone Johnson (Aubrey Joseph) have grown up with a secret that they didn’t even share with each other – until now. The trailer sees Marvel getting in on some of that CW teen drama action with a superhero flavour. The network has ordered ten one-hour episodes slated to debut early 2018.
