In a move that will almost make you forget the overexposure of the titular characters, the trailer for BATMAN AND HARLEY QUINN brings back the retro vibes of Batman: The Animated Series in an original story by Bruce Timm.
In BATMAN AND HARLEY QUINN, Poison Ivy and Jason Woodrue (a.k.a. The Floronic Man) embark on an ecological quest to save the planet – and, unfortunately, eliminate most of humankind along the way. To save humanity, Batman and Nightwing are forced to enlist Harley Quinn to catch Poison Ivy, Harley’s BFF and frequent partner-in-crime. But Batman’s patience is put to the test by the unpredictable and untrustworthy Harley during the twists and turns the reluctant companions face during their bumpy road trip.
Kevin Conroy and Loren Lester reprise their series voices as Bruce Wayne/Batman and Dick Grayson/Nightwing respectively, while Melissa Rauch becomes the latest to voice Harley Quinn. Paget Brewster can be heard as Poison Ivy, while Kevin Michael Richardson is Jason Woodrue.
Directed by Sam Liu, from a script written by Timm and Jim Krieg, the film will be released on digital formats 15 August and on Blu-ray and DVD 29 August.
