Sony Pictures Releasing Australia have released a short new trailer for the FLATLINERS reboot, starring Ellen Page, Nina Dobrev, Diego Luna and James Norton. It doesn’t tell us much more about the film, but film fans of the 1990s will already know the score.
Just like Joel Schumaker’s 1990 film, FLATLINERS is concerned with a group of medical students who become obsessed with finding out what happens after death. They stop each other hearts under medical conditions and report back. Building on the first trailer released last month, this new trailer shows some of the consequences of those actions.
Directed by Niels Arden Oplev, who directed the pilot episode of Mr. Robot, original film star Kiefer Sutherland has confirmed that he will return to reprise his role as Dr. Nelson Wright, making this a soft reboot of the concept.
FLATLINERS is in Australian cinemas on 28 September 2017 from Sony.
