Speaking with Stephen Colbert on The Late Show on Tuesday night, actor Daniel Craig confirmed that he will return for a fifth and final time as the iconic spy, James Bond.
The as-yet-untitled BOND 25 was announced as being in production last month, and rumours as to who would be cast next were swirling around the Interwebs. This is the first official confirmation of Craig involvement with the project.
Speaking about his last time out, Craig added “I just want to go out on a high note, and I can’t wait.”
The film will be written by Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, long time collaborators and writers on all previous Bond films starring Craig, including Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall and Spectre.
James Bond will return to US cinemas on November 8, 2019 with a traditional earlier release in the UK and the rest of the world.
