CW! It’s where the action is! The network and Warner Bros. Television has announced the title of their November crossover: “Crisis on Earth-X!”
The November 27 and November 28 event – incorporating SUPERGIRL, ARROW, THE FLASH and DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW – takes its title from the 1973 Justice League of America #107, in which the League visit a world where the Nazis won the second world war. Artist Phil Jimenez has recreated the cover of 1982’s Justice League of America #207, a later crossover event.
The official synopsis of the episodes indicates that with “all of the heroes in town to celebrate Barry and Iris’s wedding, villains from Earth-X crash the festivities with a deadly agenda.” The poster indicates that those villains are evil doppelgängers of Earth-1’s heroes.
‘Crisis’ in the comics was an annual crossover event between the Justice League of America and the Justice Society of America that ran from 1963 to 1984.
The animated Freedom Fighters: The Ray series, that will be released online via CW Seed, will undoubtedly tie into this.
Australians will get this crossover on the same date, and commercial free, according to a recent announcement from Foxtel.
