We’re not going to say that we’re trendsetters, be we called this back in April. Based on the 2014-2015 Spider-Verse comic book event that claimed to have “Every Spider-Man ever” in print, it even included the 1967 animated version, Spider-Ham and Japanese Spider-Man’s Leopardon in the line-up.
This animated film will make Miles Morales the star, originally a character from the same Ultimate Marvel Universe that inspired many of the Marvel Cinematic Universe films. Donald Glover voiced the character in the Ultimate Spider-Man TV show, including the ‘Web Warriors’ arc that followed a similar Spider-Verse story.
Directed by Bob Persichetti, Peter Ramsey, and Rodney Rothman, the film was written by Phil Lord. It features the voices of Shameik Moore (The Get Down and Dope) as Miles Morales, alongside Liev Schreiber, Mahershala Ali, and Brian Tyree Henry.
