The BBC has revealed a new logo for DOCTOR WHO, highlighting the Thirteenth Doctor, Jodie Whittaker. The static images and video logo can be seen below.
Creative agency LittleHawk created the brand new designs, working closely with Showrunner Chris Chibnall and Executive Producer Matt Strevens. The sound for the animated logo was created by the critically acclaimed British musician, producer and sound artist, Matthew Herbert.
“Our aim was to create modern and elegant designs that were anchored in the things that we love most about Doctor Who,” said BBC Worldwide Executive Creative Director Rafaela Perera to the Radio Times.
Many have already pointed out that the line through the ‘O’ in Who looks like a sideways Venus symbol, used in sociological discourse to represent women.
DOCTOR WHO is set to return in the UK’s autumn, so we’re guessing sometime around August/September 2018.
