You may have noticed during the checkout process this year that Sydney Film Festival is asking Festival-goers to pitch in a little extra by adding a donation to their Festival purchases. Now they have a new campaign to tell you how easy it is.
Seasoned advertising gurus M&C Saatchi, film production company Barefoot Communications (who produced last year’s SFF opening night film, We Don’t Need a Map), animation experts at Animal Logic, prosthetic artists from MEG, and Soundfirm, Rumble and Panavision all donated their services to creating a philanthropic campaign.
Rhys Muldoon stars as a dapper member of the walking dead, indicating that we can now donate to the Festival via our mobiles. The “Keep SFF alive” tagline worries us a little bit. We hope this doesn’t spell too much doom for our favourite film festival of the season.
Tickets are now on sale for over 250 films from around the world. Donations to the Sydney Film Festival 2018 can be made at sff.org.au.
