The highly anticipated Season 7 of ARROW just got a new Comic-Con trailer, showing a fair bit of footage from the forthcoming season.
After protecting his city as the Green Arrow for six years, Oliver Queen now finds himself on the other side of the law as an inmate at Slabside Maximum Security Prison. Oliver will find himself vulnerable in a way unlike ever before when a mysterious new enemy begins to unravel his work as Green Arrow, challenging him to redeem his name or risk losing everything.
While it never got beyond the script stage, much of this season appears to be based on the proposed Green Arrow: Escape from Super Max movie, one that would introduce the character in medias res, before sending him to the titular super max prison alongside some of the DC Universe’s biggest villains. From the trailer, we know at least one of those villains is the return of Danny Brickwell (Vinnie Jones).
Of course, the other big development is the elephant in the room: Ollie’s beard. One of the most famously hirsute characters in DC’s roster, some time behind bars seems to be as good an origin story as any for some of the most iconic whiskers in comics.
The Season 7 premiere of ARROW is on 15 October 2018 on CW in the US, and in Australia on Fox8. You can check out the trailer below.
