Following the announcement of its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, the Adelaide Film Festival (ADLFF) has announced that Anthony Maras’ HOTEL MUMBAI will open their event on 10 October 2018.
Starring Armie Hammer, Dev Patel, Nazanin Bonaidi, Tilda Cobham-Hervey, with Anupam Kher, and Jason Isaacs, HOTEL MUMBAI tells the astonishing story of those trapped in the iconic Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in the 2008 attacks.
“I am forever grateful for the unwavering support the Adelaide Film Festival has offered our project since day one,” said director Maras in a statement. “It could not be more fitting to premiere the film at AFF, and so soon after the World Premiere at the Toronto international Film Festival.”
ADLFF has long been host to premiere screenings of Australian films. Last year, they had the Australian debut of Warwick Thornton’s Sweet Country following its TIFF debut, along with cult hit Cargo.
The HOTEL MUMBAI premiere will take place at GU Film House, followed by the ADL Film Fest Opening Night party at the Queen’s Theatre. Tickets are $95 and now on sale now at adelaidefilmfestival.org
ADLFF runs from 10 – 21 October this year, with the full program yet to be announced.
