Screen Australia announced today that almost $400,000 in development support for 16 feature projects, enabling filmmakers to take their scripts to the next stage towards production readiness.
10 new projects have been added to the development slate, while six of these were already receiving ongoing support.
Amongst the new projects, there’s a musical from Red Dog director Kriv Stenders called Synchronicity, set to the music of Kylie Minogue! There’s also Choir of Hard Knocks to be directed by Jonathan Teplitzky (Burning Man), and untitled project from the Edgerton brothers and psychological thriller Disquiet from Julia Leigh (Sleeping Beauty), based on one of her own novels.
