Selene is back, and she’s looking for Michael, apparently!
With vampire and werewolves going at it in virtually every medium at the moment, it’s no surprise that the Underworld series is making a return to the silver screen. How werewolves survive on a silver screen is beyond us, but there you go. In a very blue-rinsed trailer, the action-packed Resident Evil-esque sequel looks like it will bring the modernity back to the film universe in Underworld: Awakening.
Kate Beckinsale, star of the first two films, returns in her lead role as the vampire warrioress Selene, who escapes imprisonment to find herself in a world where humans have discovered the existence of both Vampire and Lycan clans, and are conducting an all-out war to eradicate both immortal species.
Underworld: Awakening is released on 26 January 2012 in Australia from Sony.
