We have a returning James Bond in Daniel Craig. We’ve got a Bond Girl in Bérénice Marlohe. We’ve even got rumours that the film, which we will always remember fondly as Bond 23, will be called Skyfall. Now we have a villain, and that villain is Javier Bardem. Let’s hope he gets to keep that fabulous hairstyle from the last time he played a killer.
Bardem was most recently seen in Biutiful and Eat Pray Love. Entertainment Weekly quotes Bardem as saying “I am very excited. My parents took me to watch the movies and I saw all of them. So to play that is going to be fun,” Bardem said.
Bond 23 will see the return of Daniel Craig as British spy James Bond, with Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Revolutionary Road) taking the director’s chair. MI6-HQ.com also reports that the opening scenes will be shot in Instanbul.
Bond 23 will be released in Australia on 22 November 2012 from Sony.
