With the release of The Muppets in the US at the end of the month, Disney/Pixar will unveil the second of its Toy Story short films, Toy Story: Small Fry. Originally announced back at D23 in August, Walt Disney Studios has just released the first image from this short.
Last week, we revealed two images from the forthcoming short film, and is the second in a series of short spin-off films from the successful Toy Story series, the first being Toy Story Toons: Hawaiian Vacation, which debuted with Cars 2 earlier this year. We saw the film last week, and it’s fantastic.
Buzz Lightyear is left behind at a fast food restaurant when a kids’ meal toy version of Buzz takes his place. While Bonnie’s toys are stuck with the annoying three-inch-tall Buzz impersonator, the real Buzz is trapped in the restaurant at a support group for discarded toys. As Woody and the gang devise a way to rescue their friend, Buzz tries to escape the toy psychotherapy meeting.
The Muppets will be released on 23 November 2011 in the US and on 5 January 2012 in Australia from Disney.
