The Muppets are upon us! With the US release of the return of our favourite variety players (don’t call it a comeback), and Disney have sent over a music video from the film featuring Camilla and the Chickens, along with a number of clips from the fabulous film.
Set to the tune of Cee Lo Green’s “Forget You” (Buck you?), it mostly a plug for the soundtrack (see the tracklist below, with minor spoilers) and it’s a great soundtrack.
On vacation in Los Angeles, Walter, the world’s biggest Muppet fan, his brother Gary (Jason Segel) and Gary’s girlfriend Mary (Amy Adams) from Smalltown, USA, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to raze the Muppet Theater and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets’ former stomping grounds. To stage a telethon and raise the $10 million needed to save the theater, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways.
The Muppets will be released on 23 November 2011 in the US and on 5 January 2012 in Australia from Disney.
