Set to begin shooting in Melbourne early next year, comic book adaptation I, Frankenstein has added two more cast members to its growing roster.
Deadline reports that Chuck star Yvonne Strahovski will take the female lead in the film, starring opposite Aaron Eckhart as Adam, or Frankenstein’s monster. She will play his love interest, along with being a beautiful scientist. Sounds like pretty good work if you can get it.
Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter has let slip that Miranda Otto, best know international as Eowyn in the Lord of the Rings films, will play the Queen of the Gargoyles, and an aid to Adam.
The modern-day gothic thriller is based on the Darkstorm Studios graphic novel by Kevin Grevioux, the creator of the Underworld franchise, and will be produced by Lakeshore Entertainment in association with Hopscotch Features.
There are also reports that Bill Nighy is in talks to play the villain.
I, Frankenstein is currently slated for a 22 February 2013 release from Lionsgate in the US. Hopscotch/eOne will distribute the film in Australia.
