Fans and press gathered at the Event Cinemas on George Street in Sydney today, as very special guest Hugh Grant appeared for the Australian premiere of his latest film, The Pirates! Band of Misfits.
The Pirates! Band of Misfits, opens in cinemas April 5 and is from the creators of the blockbuster hits Chicken Run and Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Ware Rabbit. The film features Hugh Grant in his first animated role and an all-star cast including David Tennant, Imelda Staunton, Martin Freeman, Jeremy Piven, Salma Hayek, Brian Blessed, Brendan Gleeson, Russell Tovey and Ashley Jensen.
We also managed to speak with the star, and grab his thoughts on working in animation, film piracy, his piratey influences and the next Bridget Jones film.
