With The Dark Knight Rises due in cinemas soon, comics fans have cause to rejoice over another Dark Knight adaptation coming to the screen. Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns features an aging Bruce Wayne who comes out of retirement to fight a new breed of crime with a female Robin by his side.
This sneak peek at the animated film, released as two parts, which includes interviews with the creators, animated footage and concept art, was originally shown on the Superman Vs. The Elite DVD/Blu-ray. Peter Weller, or Robocop as he will be forever know to geeks, will voice Bruce Wayne/Batman.
The DC animated films and series have just been going from strength to strength, and it is great to see them tackling some of the more mature and epic books. Many expect this to debut at Comic-Con this year.
