THR reports that Donald Glover is in talks to join the cast of SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING, the rebooted Marvel film from Sony Pictures. This comes following several years of social media campaigning to see the Community actor join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
No word yet on what part Glover would potentially play, but the film is due to begin production later this month. The story is said to be taking Peter Parker back to his high school days.
This is not the first time Glover has played a role in a Spider-Man franchise entry, having previously voiced Miles Morales in the Disney XD Ultimate Spider-Man.
SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING, the first Spider-Man film to be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, also stars tars Michael Keaton, Marissa Tomei, Zendaya and Robert Downey Jr. It will be released in on 7 July 2017 from Sony Pictures.
