‘Jack Reacher: Never Go Back’ Australian trailer arrives with a bang

Jack Reacher: Never Go Back

“One guy took ’em all down with his bare hands.” Jack Reacher is back and Paramount Pictures Australia has let us know about it – in trailer form! JACK REACHER: NEVER GO BACK the follow-up to the 2012 Tom Cruise film Jack Reacher, adapted from the series of novels by Lee Child. It is in Australian cinemas on 20 October 2016, and the US on 21 October. .

Starring Tom Cruise, Cobie Smulders (Scherbatsky!) and Robert Knepper, it takes its title from the 2013 novel Never Go Back, with Reacher returning to headquarters and finding himself accused of a crime he didn’t commit. Acting mostly as a teaser for the main event, it showcases Cruise mostly, but also a series of set-piece action sequences. Towards the end of the trailer, Reacher seems to borrow a line from the Liam Neeson playbook (“When I find you, I’m going to kill you all”).

Directed by Edward Zwick (Glory, Blood Diamond, The Last Samurai), the film also stars Danika Yarosh, Aldis Hodge, Patrick Heusinger, and Holt McCallany. It was shot on location in New Oreleans, with Henry Jackman providing the score. Fun fact: this marks Zwick’s first film since 2006’s Blood Diamond not to be scored by James Newton Howard. The more you know.
