Legendary Pictures and Universal Pictures has unveiled a short promotional video for PACIFIC RIM UPRISING, the upcoming sequel to 2013’s Pacific Rim. Part of the GoJaeger.com viral site, it’s an in-universe advertisement for the benefits of the Jaegers.
Directed by Steven S. DeKnight, the sequel continues the universe that was launched by the mind of Guillermo del Toro. Promising that a “new generation of Jaeger Pilots will stand tall for all humanity,” it the film will star John Boyega, Scott Eastwood, Jing Tian, Wesley Wong, Lily Ji, Lan Yingying, Qian Yongchen, Zhang Jin, Cailee Spaeny and Chen Zitong.
Details have been scarce about the film, but this new information seems to indicate that some time has passed since the conclusion of the original. We just hope that “Jaeger uprising” is not that feeling you get after consuming too many Jägermeister shots.
