AMP (via Hancinema) has posted the new trailer for CRIME CITY (범죄도시 aka Criminal City), the new Korean crime caper film from director Kang Yoon-Sung. It hits Korean cinemas on 4 October 2017.
Based on the true story of the “Heuksapa Incident” in 2007, in which 32 people part of a Chinese criminal ring were arrested, the film stars Ma Dong-Seok (Train to Busan) as a detective in pursuit of the gang led by Yoon Kye-Sang (Golden Slumber).
Other cast members include Jo Jae-yoon (The Prison), Heo Sung-tae (The Age of Shadows) and Choi Gwi-hwa (A Taxi Driver).
The stylish trailer gives us an indication of this being a crime action drama on a grand scale, and the type of thing that will hopefully get a contemporaneous release here in Australia.
