CBS has released a new video marking the start of production of the second season of STAR TREK: DISCOVERY. The short clip can be viewed below.
When we left crew of the USS Discovery at the end of the first season, they had encountered a significant piece of Star Trek history. The time-lapse production video shows that they will be paying tribute to that legacy, and in particular the costume design of the original canon.
The series’ cast includes Sonequa Martin-Green, Doug Jones, Jason Isaacs, Anthony Rapp, Michelle Yeoh, Shazad Latif, Mary Wiseman, Mary Chieffo, James Frain and more.
A date for the season hasn’t been set just yet, but it is expected to air in 2019 on CBS All Access in the US and on Netflix around the world.
