Peter Weyland Launches Viral Campaign for Prometheus

To celebrate 50 years of building better worlds, Weyland Industries head Peter Weyland (Guy Pearce) has launched a video showcasing his talk at the 2023 TED conference, where he plans to revolutionise the future. It is, of course, the first viral video from Ridley Scott’s Prometheus, where we not only get a glimpse at one of the characters, but a bit more information about the world the film will be set in.

The Weyland Industries site adds the following information: Considered a seminal moment in the career of our founder Peter Weyland, this 2023 TED Talk launched Weyland Corp into the international spotlight.

To honor this moment, Weyland Corp is planning to offer a new round of investment soon. Interested parties can expect to find out more within the next few days.

The Dark Knight Rises releases viral CIA bulletin

Where The Dark Knight had a massive viral campaign, The Dark Knight Rises has used the marketing strategy carefully, initially to reveal the first images of Bane online. Now two mysterious CIA documents have been released on Wired and Empire Magazine.

The first features actor Alon Abutbul,and is a CIA document relating to a “Dr. Leonid Pavel”. The second is a transcript between an undisclosed party and militia on tracking down and capturing the mysterious doctor.

What could this all mean? Everything? Nothing? One thing is for sure: it will get the interwebs talking about the possibilities. One of the leading speculations is around Pavel’s connection to Bane, as we know that Bane is needing some fairly intense medical treatment throughout the film.

The short IMAX prologue will begin screening in the large format cinemas around the world from next week, and perhaps this will provide more clues.

The Dark Knight Rises is released on 19 July 2012 in Australia from Roadshow.

Puss in Boots: Casting call and Lady Gaga’s Americano videos

DreamWorks’ Puss in Bo0ts campaign has been played incredibly well, using the knowledge that the Internet is full of cat lovers incredibly well. The latest two video uploaded to the official YouTube channel not only feature cute kittens and cats doing incredibly adorable things, but one of them features Lady Gaga’s “Americano”. Do these people known the Internet community, or what?

Paranormal Activity 3: Viral videos

Hot off the presses, we have three new official Australia viral videos from Paranormal Activity 3.

The latest in the series goes all the way back to the origins of the film, and here we get three new bits of “found footage” to explore. We’ve also got 4 new photos from 1988 with the girls at home. Creepy, no?
