‘Red Dog: True Blue’ teaser trailer from Roadshow reveals beginning of a legend

Red Dog: True Blue

“Every legend has a beginning.” Following the teaser poster launch, Roadshow Films and Good Dog Distribution have debuted the first look teaser trailer for RED DOG:TRUE BLUE. It releases in cinemas on Boxing Day (26 December) this year.

When eleven year old Mick (Levi Miller) is shipped off to his grandfather’s (Bryan Brown) cattle station in the remote Pilbara region of Western Australia, he prepares himself for a life of dull hardship, but instead finds myth, adventure, and a friendship with a scrappy, one-of-a-kind dog that will change his life forever. It also stars John Jarratt.

This first teaser gives us long sweeping shots of the great, big, red flat mysterious country we call Australia, along with our first shots of the new canine star. Red Dog took over $20 million at the Australian box office alone, won the inaugural AACTA Award for ‘Best Film’ in 2011 and is the highest selling Australian DVD of all time. So prepare your packets of tissues now, as this is sure to be a heartwarming and/or tear-jerking Christmas cracker.
