Australia’s ‘Restoration’ releases trailer ahead of Stan debut

Midnight Snack Productions has released a trailer for the sci-fi thriller RESTORATION, an independent one-hour film set in the not-too-distant future where humans have their brains downloaded and backed up. It debuts on streaming network Stan on 8 September. Check out the trailer below.

Starring Craig McLachlan (The Doctor Blake Mysteries), it follows the mystery around a man who discovers that his memories and consciousness have been implanted in a body that he doesn’t know. The high-concept show will be available for instant delivery to everybody with access to Stan.

Directed by Stuart Willis, from a screenplay by Willis and Matthew Clayfield, it also stars Nadia Townsend, Grant Cartwright, Stephen Carracher, Rosie Lourde, Elizabeth Nabben and Ailís Logan.

This is a great delivery system for local content, with Stan rapidly becoming an excellent alternative to Netflix. In addition to exclusive first runs of US content like Ash Vs. The Evil Dead, iZombie and Transparent, they have dedicated Australian content like No Activity and Wolf Creek.
